Cities Volleyball Players to be Trained by Velocity
For the 2007-8 season, Beach
Cities Volleyball players will have the opportunity to receive training (at no
cost additional to the season's tuition) at Velocity Sports Performance in
By training with Velocity Sports Performance, players will:
" Improve vertical jump and explosiveness
To be a great offensive hitter and to block balls, an explosive vertical
is a must. Velocity delivers scientifically advanced programs to increase your
power output, resulting in extra inches on your vertical jump.
" Generate more shot power
Improve shot power and accuracy by developing your core stability and
explosive strength.
" Increase quickness on the court
Velocity can help you improve your reaction time so you can move more
quickly on the court. Your ability to cover the court will improve resulting in
more digs.
" Reduce likelihood of injury
Velocitys integrated program develops flexibility, stability and
strength and teaches proper movement techniques to reduce the likelihood of
both acute and overuse injuries. Stay healthy and in the game!
For the 2007-2008 club season, Beach Cities players will have 2 ways to train
with Velocity. First, Velocity will be sending their performance coaches to one
of the Beach Cities practice sites to train our players at no additional
cost to the players and their families.
In addition, Beach Cities players can
train at Velocity's 18,000 sq-ft state-of-the-art training center in small
groups of 8 athletes or less. While players will pay for the training at the
Velocity center, Velocity is providing Beach Cities players with a $100
discount on the Testing, Assessment and Program Planning fee, and a 10%
discount on training.

What do you do? Just show up, ready for a great work-out, at the times & dates
below, at Rolling Hills Prep Gym. This
program is free to all members of Beach Cities Volleyball
If your team is practicing, from 5:30 to 7:30, or 7:30
to 9:30, practices will stop for Velocity Training. If your team is practicing
from 5:30 to 7:30, the practice will be over at 7 PM, and you will do Velocity
training from 7 to ~7:45
If your team is practicing from 7:30 to 9:30, you
should show up at 7 PM to participate in the Velocity Training, and then your
teams practice will start at about 7:45, when the Velocity Training is over
If your team is not practicing on that night at
Rolling Hills Prep, just show up for the work out
